No, the scar tissue only develops because there was an infection, inflammation, injury, or surgery. It’s just a natural healing response. So if there’s no longer any inflammation, infection, or injury present, there’s no scar tissue, and consequently, no blockage. There are a few exceptions to this rule.

If you had an HSG and the tube had to be forced open, there is a chance that there is still scar tissue remaining in the tube. Therefore, you would want to continue with your treatment plan until you conceive to completely heal the remaining scar tissue inside the tube. This irritation from forcing the tubes open via HSG is perceived by the body as an irritation, so the adhesions may reform following the HSG, because the scar tissue is still inside the tube and can become re-adhered. You would need to continue the treatment after an HSG like this. The same applies for laparoscopic surgery where the tubes are forced open before they have naturally healed completely.

Additionally, if you have been diagnosed with hydrosalpinx before treatment, you will want to continue treatment until you conceive, even if HSG shows open tubes, as hydrosalpinx can resurface if the healing is not complete. The body needs time to not only dissolve the scar tissue, but to then also regenerate new healthy cells and tissue in the fallopian tubes. And this is what will allow the dilated swollen hydrosalpinx tube to get back to its original small shape and function.

Endometriosis is also a condition that may resurface, if left untreated. So, you would need to continue treatment until conception. Endometriosis is a condition that requires “getting to the root of the problem.” And that’s what this system does.
